Sand Filters are an environmentally friendly, cost-effective filtration solution. They use natural minerals from the ground (sand) to filter contaminants from the pool water.

A multi-media sand filter is a water filtration system that uses a bed of sand to remove particles and impurities from water. In an unfiltered pool, water passes through the sand bed and out of the filter. When the pool has been in use for some time, nutrients such as algae cells are present in the pool.

Our sand filtration system is a completely self-operated system. The filter media consists of a layer of about four inches of coarse sand, topped with a layer of fine filter sand and a thin layer of pea gravel at the bottom.

Sand filters are one of the most common types of filtration systems used in swimming pools today. In this section, you’ll find everything you need to know about sand filters like how they work and why they’re so popular among homeowners.
